Being on top is not that easy to maintain, most especially when your competitors are just inches behind.

The much talked about Facebook Timeline that has been introduced last September during the F8 conference is finally made available to all users. Facebook App Developers were the first one to make use of the interface and feedback were also taken from them. As usual it didn’t get all the positive ones just like any other new things being introduced to the world.

For those who are shocked and still wondering what is this Facebook Timeline is all about, here’s a brief summary. Mark Zuckerberg once envisioned the future of Facebook posts. Will it just be junked at the bottom of your wall and will be forgotten forever? Thus the birth of Timeline. It transformed Facebook into a social networking diary. It shows a detailed overview of your life on Facebook, plus you can check out what you’ve been out to at a particular point in time. You can also add a particular event that you missed to shout out, have it featured or totally delete it.

Others who are not in favor with it reasoned out that the Timeline makes the users’ info easily accessible, which could lead to identity theft thus comprising privacy.

Timeline will also be available on Android devices as well as the mobile version of Facebook. Eventually, Facebook apps of different mobile platforms will be updating in line with this development.

If you’re playing bingo online like most of today’s current bingo players, you probably started many years ago, playing with mum or dad or even your beloved grandparents, long before home computers were even an idea.

However, today’s players know that the game has evolved in a big way in recent years, thanks to the invention of the internet and the ensuing (and still growing) explosion of online bingo players across the globe.

This fun-filled article will take a quick look at how the timeless game of bingo has evolved as it continues to change from a game that was once played exclusively in bingo halls to one that is now globally accepted as an online gaming industry leader.

Okay, with that said – and money to make by playing bingo online – let’s get started.

No longer is there a need to have to drag yourself out of the house and down to the local bingo hall or church, (where you can’t sit and drink a cold one). Thanks to the advent of the Internet, now fanatical bingo players from Prague to Paris can ‘get their bingo on’ all in the cozy comforts of their own homes (while enjoying a cold one).

Not only has the creation of the Internet drive droves of bingo players to start playing online, but more likely, the fantastic offerings that numerous bingo web sites offer players to sign up – and stay on board with them.

Online bingo players have a better chance at winning while playing multiple cards as the majority of online bingo web sites have an option where players can choose to have the computer ‘automatically’ fill in their respective cards, thereby killing the possibility of missing ‘Bingo’ because of the not being able to keep track.

In addition to the ‘automatic’ function that bingo web sites provide, bettors that like playing bingo online will also be treated to some eye-opening offers, many of which are as free as the air we breathe.

Depending on the online bingo web site that you’re visiting, the number of free games may vary, but there will undoubtedly be something free at each and every online bingo web site there is.

Online bingo jackpots have also grown by leaps and bounds with scores of online players reporting winnings in the tens and even hundreds of thousands of dollars and pounds.

One of the main reasons that playing bingo online has become at least as popular as playing in church or your local bingo hall is the ability to communicate and socialize with other like-minded bingo players. Online gamers can chat like never before and share their inside bingo secrets to their hearts are content.

Another thing about playing bingo online is the fact that players from eight to eighty can log in and lay down their letters just like anyone else. A computer doesn’t care where you’re from, your race, creed or color, so visiting the ‘wrong’ bingo hall or one that isn’t very friendly to newcomers is instantly taken out of the equation.

Last but not least, the main reason that playing bingo online is now the way to go is the fact that it offers unrivaled convenience when compared to having to get up, get dressed and leave home.

It doesn’t matter it it’s 3:00 AM or three in the afternoon, firing up the computer and logging into your favorite online bingo web site is a easy as pie and far less expensive than having to drive over to the local bingo hall (hey petro’s expensive these days).

So, now you know how and why bingo is quickly moving from a game that was played exclusively at bingo halls to one that is now played online by the masses. Now, all you’ve got to do is find an online bingo web site that’s just right for you and get those letters down quick, fast and in a hurry!

This Novo 7 runs in Android 4.0 a.k.a Ice Cream Sandwich and powered by 1GHz single core MIPS-based XBurst CPU with Vivante GC860 GPU core at $99.

“Low cost, high performance tablets are a big win for mobile consumers and a strong illustration of how Android’s openness drives innovation and competition for the benefit of consumers around the world,” says Andy Rubin, senior vice president of mobile at Google.

It comes in 7-inch capacitive multitouch screen and connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and external 3G support and it comes with a 2 megapixel rear camera along with a front camera ideal for video calling. Other features include, HDMI out, a microSD card slot and Google Compatibility Test Suite certification. 3D graphics can also be supported because of the Vivante GC860 GPU. 8 and 9 inch versions will launched soon according to the company.

As of this time, the $99 gadget is only available in China and online via Ainol Electronics Co Ltd. It would be available in the US and other countries in the coming months under Leader International Inc and OMG Electronics Ltd.

“I can’t wait for this gadget to be available in our country,” says Harold Calvez, an Filipino entrepreneur who’s affiliated to a boats for sale in Philippines business. “this gadget will surely make all my business transactions easy aside from it is also very affordable,” Calvez added.

China is indeed a sleeping giant with non-sleeping technology geniuses. Name it, they have it! All kinds of replicas can be found in China and in other country’s China Town. However, their products are more often branded as sub-standard and in low quality as it is just a replica of what’s real. It’s quite unfair though because almost everything that you have right now has a part made from China. This Novo 7 is no replica at all because this time, the Chinese made it first.

It is a huge place wherein you would be able to experience Google-related apps like Google Earth or perhaps playing your Angry Birds in a humongous screen. It will not only display the latest Android phones or tablets but would also let the customers experience the gadgets luring them to finally purchase the item/s. For curious lookers, the store is placing 24 x 9 metre window display incorporated with augmented Android reality game.

Google has been releasing their Android gadgets in the past few years but they don’t really have this distinct store or place just like their rival Apple Inc. and RIM. Maybe because Google’s Android system isn’t isolated in a single smartphone manufacturer and you get to experience how the Android-thing works once you purchase that chosen smartphone or tablet brand.

The creation of this Androidland has been claimed to be the result of the first-ever retail partnership of Google with a mobile-carrier to promote their mobile operating system.

An avid android user Chris Bech would definitely visit the place if he finds time. Chris Bech owns an android powered phone and a tablet which he everyday during his business ventures.

With that, Apple’s internal succession plan kicked into gear placing Tim Cook as the new CEO. Jobs, meanwhile, is now Chairman of the Board.

For such as sudden move, it seems to me that his health condition is the primary reason.

All this time, even during the years when he was out of the company, Steve is Apple and Apple is Steve.

Here is a man who, together with Woz, built computers in the garage, built a company for it, got ousted by the man he hired to run the company, ran two more companies following that, got his company bought by Apple, came back to reign Apple as interim CEO when the company was all but dead and turned it around into what it is today.

I don’t always agree with him and there are times when he did fail (e.g. the gel iMac round mouse, ewww) but those are minimal compared to what he has accomplished right.

The Macintosh always had a cult-like fanbase used to be the domain of those select few. But now, Apple creates the most sought-after consumer devices that attract mass appeal yet still evokes elitism and fanboy-ism among many.

So Steve is no longer CEO… it’s strange that I’m feeling uncertainty over this.

Chainless? So how does it run, you ask? Duh – hybrid, batteries – duh. And you only pedal coz it’s suave for you to do so (but doing that will charge the batteries, too).

Imagine getting on this thing and cruising your neighborhood. Oh, those looks! At an instant you become, well, irrelevant. They don’t even see you, just the bike. Or worse, they do see you looking like a complete douche bag. Darn, we’re unworthy mortals.

Ok, once you snap out of it maybe you can start reading this.

And companies are having varying level of success (or failure) to rid themselves of paper. But what do you know… we still have paper, and for good reason.

I still prefer my pen and pad for capturing ideas and random thoughts while on the go, or even when I’m still. Kindle is nice but I like physical books for many of my reading (but not carrying) pursuits.

And so, now we have, wait for it, paper 2.0. You read that right; they’re versioning paper now. Developed by the Taiwanese research group Industrial Technology Research Institute, the i2R e-paper (as they call it) is a flexible liquid crystal panel. It uses thermal action (akin to fax machines) to (re)write on the surface but requires no additional power to retain the print nor does it require backlighting for the print to be visible. The i2R panel is said to be rewritable up to 260 times.

That would be useful for posters and banners but not for books.

Almost nothing was spared – television, refrigerator, air conditioner, microwave, flat iron, lights, etc. The result? Nice-looking new gears and almost half-price savings on the electric bill on the same month. Mission accomplished.

Of all those replaced, the fluorescent and incandescent lights were my pet peeves. Especially incandescent. We were replacing them yearly if not more frequent. After that, I liked the soft glow of our CFLs with a bit more brightness but at a much lower wattage.

Now, I want the new Philips AmbientLED bulbs. These LED bulbs conserve much more energy plus they don’t have mercury or lead that is common to CFLs. And, oh, each bulb can last up to 15 years! Talk about being greener.

And did I mention they look cool? Just look at that. It looks like an inverted flux capacitor.

Just when I thought that tablets have become ubiquitous, something comes along to prove I am wrong. It seems there is a segment in our society that is considered an untapped market for this gadget — babies. That’s right, folks, they’re making tablets for babies now. While there is no shortage of electronic devices that are made for babies, I wonder what area a tablet would satisfy. It turns out, nothing new. Generally, it’s still all about stimulating babies’ minds and senses. That’s not to say that something is wrong with that; the intention is good. You get a tablet that’s limited to that focus and nothing else. The Vinci Touchpad is one such device....

The Vinci Touchpad is one such device. Its applications are limited to games, music videos, story books and media. With the exception of that distinctive handle, its specs are nothing out of the ordinary. That handle is not meant to resist shock, though, on occasions your little bundle of joy decides to make it a Frisbee. The Vinci is not goo-proof, either, so your baby would usually require supervision to operate it.

It’s an interesting concept if you’re the type who’d want a portable distraction, err, activity for your tots. So, will you get your baby one of these?
